The program, staffed by a dedicated and specialized team is designed to provide integrated care for clients. The Concurrent disorders program provides continuity of treatment for patients from admission into hospital, and during the transition from hospital to home/community.

Our holistic substance abuse program for men provides an effective support for those struggling with alcohol and drug abuse, prescription drug addiction and alcoholism, helping individuals build an effective addiction recovery plan utilizing a Bio-Psycho-Social supports.

Womankind Addiction Service St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton Hamilton, ON Phone: (905) 521-9591 ext. 237 Womankind Addiction Service (WAS) offers a safe, caring and supportive place where women are welcomed and assisted by our specially trained team to assess and define next steps regarding their substance use and recovery.

Day and Residential Treatment provides trauma-informed, therapeutic, holistic and educational programming in an evidence-informed 5 week treatment model. The program includes individual and group counselling as well as leisure and peer-lead programs. Treatment is based on evidence-informed practices for women using substances and focuses on empowerment and relapse prevention.

Bearinger Place Mission Services of Hamilton Hamilton, ON L8L 1H3 Phone: (905) 528-4211 At Bearinger Place, we help men with mental health and addictions issues who encounter barriers accessing other services and community supports due to addictions and mental health. Men can stay for up to a year while enrolled in an addiction treatment program and transitioning back into the community – all the time surrounded by professional and compassionate staff who are invested in their recovery goals.

Wesley Urban Ministries Managed Alcohol Special Care Unit (Claremont House) Hamilton, ON Phone: (905) 318-6903 Access to Services: Provides programming and residential and outpatient services to homeless men and women living with alcoholism and with serious health problems who become caught up in a cycle of repeated contacts with emergency shelters, hospitals & emergency rooms, police services, detoxification centres, and jail. A referral form must be filled out to determine whether a person is eligible for admission into the

Emerald Street Treatment Centre The St. Leonard’s Society of Hamilton Hamilton, ON Phone: (905) 572-1150 Emerald Street Treatment Center is a 30-bed Substance Abuse Treatment Centre. The residents are parolees on conditional release from federal penitentiaries. This facility also provides non-residential programs to the broader community of federally sentenced offenders and is primarily funded by Correctional Service Canada.

Success at Emerald Street is ultimately measured by individuals accepting the reality of their substance abuse related problems and voluntarily abstaining from all mood-altering substances. Success with our clients is attributable to a collaborative effort from the knowledge base and skill of trained substance abuse treatment facilitators and specialists in other cognitively based programs.

Wayside House of Hamilton Hamilton, ON Phone: (905) 528-8969 Wayside House is a long-term residential addiction treatment program for men. Located in central Hamilton Ontario, our program has bed capacity for up to 20 men. While adhering to best practices, we support the client from first contact through our multi-phase program, discharge and aftercare. Our services are open to adult men 19+ regardless of race, colour, creed, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, religion or economic circumstances.
