At Serenity we know that addicts and alcoholics can recover and live a happy, joyful life without the need for mood altering substances. Staying clean and sober in rehab is the easy part, staying clean and sober back at home can sometimes be a challenge.
Ongoing Recovery for Substance Dependence
Serenity addiction treatment has at its core a focus on education. Our clients learn the tools and develop the skills needed to create and follow a plan that for long-term clean and sober living. Our clients come to understand the nature of their substance dependence and addiction, and how to deal with it, for a lifetime.
Rehab is just the first part of ongoing recovery. Continual engagement with a community is proven to drastically increase the chances of staying clean and sober in the years to come. Substance dependence is a chronic disorder, which requires a successful plan of maintenance, and also growth of the whole person.
Serenity Recovery Community
At Serenity we maintain an online support group for all of our past clients, who are invited to join upon leaving our facility and inpatient treatment. The community is a place for sharing success stories with others who have been through the programme, as well as their struggles and how they overcame them. Our clients are able to connect and reach out to these people, as well as stay in contact with the counselors and professional support staff at Serenity.
Many of our past clients continue to assist with our programme as speakers in the rehab, and some take part as peer role model for new clients in Serenity. We look forward to you becoming one of the success stories that motivates others to follow your path.
Serenity provides treatment whose goal is not short-term, but rather a lifetime of sobriety and clean-time. Because we are dealing with the chronic nature of addiction, it takes time and care, and frankly, a lifetime of support. We are always here to help our clients, as their success is our success.
